Do you like color in your house? We all do, but there is just one problem, if you make one mistake, all your efforts will blow up if the effect does not come out as great as you expected. So what colors should you use and what should you not? I talked to a number of home designers and they had these suggestions to share.
Find out what you truly love
What is the color that you truly love to the utmost? Is it light blue, bright yellow or is it lilac? Whichever these are, you can paint your house in these colors, at least one wall in each room. And if you cannot figure out which color you like, then utilize Pinterest. Browse through the pinned content and you will surely come across some great ideas.
Bold colors always work out… if used in splashes
Bright, bold colors always work well, but the trick lies in using them in minute quantities. So does that mean you should paint all the walls or some part of one wall? No, I am referring to the decorations; pictures, vases etc. Make use of these bold colors by adding a touch here and there on a neutral background and they will suit your room perfectly.
Pillows are perfect for any room
Is there any color that you are not sure about but still want to try out? Buy pillows of that color and see if you like the overall effect. Not much money is involved, and you can find some very beautiful and bright designs in the market.
Use small spaces for experimenting
If you have an idea, you should try it out in a small space initially rather than implement it in the whole house. You could either use the space near the window or you could try out the stairway. Start small and then proceed to bigger things.
Opt for art colors
Have you put up any art that you like in your house? Perfect, use the colors in that piece of art in the room where you have it hung. We are sure you are going to love the overall look when you are done decorating the room with these bright colors.
Use these tips to bring color into your house in a manner that will always please the eye.
