Are you planning to renovate your home or build a new home? You will want the design to be perfect so that your home looks incredibly beautiful and attractive. How can you achieve this? When you make use of just the right collections, the perfect textures and the most fabulous materials. This is what one of the top industry designers suggested when he gave an interview to the media.
This designer that I am talking about is Jay Jeffers and he has published a book called Collected Cool: The Art of Bold, Stylish Interiors about interior designing. This is a great achievement for him, and it is his first ever publication. He shared with the public how he got to this stage. In the initial days of his career, when budgets were limited, he photographed all his work by himself. Later on, he hired professionals for the job. It was at a design conference, that he met a book design consultant. The Houston based designer sent her all the images, and together they divided them into categories and shaped it into a book.
The book is organized into four chapters and each of them definitely worth a look. The first chapter by the name of Collected Cool, talks about how layering materials and textures can provide soul to the home. The next chapter, Bold Bespoke, discusses the customized details. The third chapter, Unabashed Glamour, adds excitement to the designing process and the last chapter, Casual Chic, provides you a way to relax through your fancy new design.
The home designer and now book author stated that he was excited to have achieved his first publication. He added he was honored to share this with others and he hoped he would be able to inspire his readers. The designer ended the interview with some valuable advice:
- Not enough space in your home? Paint one wall a dark color and the room will look bigger.
- Light can spoil or boost the appearance of your home. Install a dimmer with all your lightning products. This will help you set just the right amount of ambiance.
- Make a collection; it can be about anything like pieces of art or model trains. Now display this in a glass cabinet and show it off.
